there should be special motors made for helicopters. some type of motor that ONLY work on helicopters. ONLY ONLY ONLY that cost at about 200 dollars atleast and you can controll its rpm and stuff like that because of gears specified for HELICOPTERS! and umm yeah sorry haha got bored.

Hacker is a by-product of kontronik, though I haven't taken my heli up with this motor, I can feel the power already.

Actually I think that's the other way around. It was covered in a previous post I think by Erez. Hacker used to produce the motors for Kontronic, then Kontronic started making their own. My wife called and informed me that my Lehner is finally in, so I can start doing some "testing" with that now. The curves looked real promising to Erez though.. should be interesting. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

With thrust bearings headspeed near 1800 is ok, correct? I discovered tonight that my 10T pinion's grub screw is stripped, so I may have to use an 11T on it for now. On 10 cells that's going to give quite a bit of headspeed! I do have an 8 cell pack as well.. decided not to upgrade it to 10 just yet so I can do some testing with it.

I run almost 1800 without thrust bearings, but I consider that the limit (I've seen 2200 but that was with stock blades = light, mine are 80g). You will be fine, so don't worry. MS blades I presume?

I have both the Ikarus FG blades and some MS CF blades. I've been using the FG blades but bought the CF symetricals for when I'm ready for inverted.
