Most hobby shops sell acrylic paint. I don't know of any acrylic that is not water based.
Probably because Acrylic Paint is by definition water based - its made by emulsification of methyl methacrylate (sp?!)...
Tamiya stuff is pretty much the same as the stuff you can get in B&Q - only of course in B&Q you can get 10 tester pots for the price of a tamiya pot..
ever hear of acrylic enamel paint try mixing water with that say hello to the QUEEN
Fek off you complete and utter gimp
If he'd asked about acrylic-enamel, I'd have commented on that. He asked about Acrylic Paint. Unless preceeded or superceeded by a solvent basis it's water based. You ever heard the phrase Troll before?
BTW - say hello to the queen - WTF is that about? Are you trying to subtly say your gay? if so, your sexual orientation is niether here nor there to me, or to your helicopter.
Does any one know who breeds these cause I want one to tie up in me garden to shoot at.
Still its been a while since one of these was last posting on here so at least we get to vent our spleens again.

Acrylic paint is always water based. Acrylic enamel is oil based. Because it's an enamel, not a paint. There is a difference which if you'd bothered to learn about things before shooting your ignorant mouth off you would have been aware of. Try telling an enamaller that he uses paint and he'll rip your nose off.
Anything else we can help you with, like how to tie your shoelaces or wipe your ass, just let us know.
I told the Queen you'd asked after her, but all she did was puke all over the enamelled porcelain sink.
