Can any one tell me if there is any special way to install the DSL 8 receiver?

I presume I just unplug the FM module and then use a Servo extension lead to connect the gigatronic to the DSL channel 1

Is there anything else I need to do.

Problem is it has no range like nothing. I have to touch the reciever wire to the transmitter aerial for it to work.

My transmitter works 100% with other receivers and even the fm module for the eco 7.

Great news all working now.

My local hobby shop sold me JR crystals which were not dual conversion.

Only crystals for the 10 channel JR receiver are dual conversion and are identified by the red coloured cap where the others are grey.

I had a problem also the tail motor stopped working.

Found the problem,

The power board on top of the main motor has 2 x 3 wire leads that connect to the gigatronic.

These are soldered to the power board. There was some wire strands exposed and touching the other lead causing a short.

I have resoldered these leads so no wire is exposed anymore.

So range test and flight tomorrow.

Had 2 flights today with the new dsl 8 receiver.

The Eco 7 flys great. was up at about 400 feet and out to about 500 feet in a large circuit. No glitches at all. worked 100%

I have got some aerial video using a Flycamone2 video camera.

Posting a video on youtube now.

I have ordered a 500mW 900Mhz video camera which will downlink to a receiver and record.
