I have just completed my new ECO 8, and set the Swashplate for Electronical Mixing, on page 21 it shows 17mm from the frame to the Swashplate, but page 23 shows 12mm. Can anyone tell me which I should go for, and advise the best range to adopt / Head speed.

I don't have my manual in front of me now but I do remember finding an error in the rod length dimension for one of the rods. The scale drawing was correct but the lable was wrong. If you built your rods using a set of vernier calipers and didn't compare them to the 1:1 scale drawing ...that's how the mistake can be made.
I would check the drawing with a ruler to see if it is only a typographical error on the lableing...because the drawings seem right.

Richard;
I to went for the electronic mixing after first building the mech mixer version. I almost crashed it on the mech mixer because I couldn't get it to move freely. Sometimes it would stick .. and then let loose.
I just last night hovered for the first time with the CCPM setup. I have a lot of tweaking to do but it behaves much better.
As you might realize the frames are very light. Motor torque alone will twist them and servo movement also distorts them noticeably. I found a modification on the web that is simple and cheap....that stiffens the frames up tremendously. Use a small peice of birch plywood(or carbon fiber plate) and cut it so that it fills the space directly behind the motor between the frames. Screw it it together edgewise thrugh the sides. this dramatically reduces the frame twisting. I imagine the Carbon frameset is immune to this.

Okay, I see you guys are using CCPM mixing. I just rebuilt my whole ECO8 with CCPM. I am using the JR 652 computer radio. I know someone else is too. I need all your mix settings. Please HELP....

Hi RDR6,
My CCPM mixing is set up on the JR3810, so you just need to select 90 degrees in the system setup, and ignore the front servo location. I'm not familiar with your radio so can't give any more help, sorry.
