hello everyone

I have just bought an ECO 8 and done everything correct I guess.I use it with JR 652 and electronic mixing.
The problem is when I increase the pitch the motor rpm is getting lower and it is getting very hot,of course it is not flying.
Anyone has got an idea about it please?
Thanx

Hi. I have had the same problem in the past!

What kind of motor, battery and speed controller do you have?

Also, what are the pitch settings at mid stick and full pitch?

My motor runs lightly warm now, as long as I don't put the canopy on. If I put the canopy on the motor gets fairly hot.

Regards,
Steven.

Hi,
I am think that your motor is the problem, because you worked in a hot temperature. Remember when you work electric motor in a high temp the motor magnet, will loss the power forever.

In the beginning I had the same problem with my Eco, and after a lot of changes (and about 9 months!)I try to change the motor with a new one and AVOID OVERHEATING AGAIN of course!! I buy one cheap Kyosho Magnetic Mayhem Reverse(only $30 in Towerhobbies) and I leaves my ESC equal (Ikarus Heli 4000) with 10 cells of 2400mah and 12T pinion, all is Ok now and my Eco fly very good.

Good luck.

Tips to remember:

.-Pitch: -2 low, 5 hover, +9 high
.-Take care that the gear meshing is the correct one. (Use and part bag between pinions, move against and tight the screws, remove plastig bag)
.-Find your correct gear ratio.
.-Again... avoid overheating in electrics motors!!
