View Full Version : mechanical mixing
Does anyone fly the eco 8 with mechanical mixing with success?
thanks
Sal
I fly the eco 8 with mech mixing.
I have only flown the bird 4 times so my experience will probably not be the best.
I manage to get her into a stable hover, fly forward, turn and roll-turn. The problems i have found with the mechanical mixer is that it is quite hard to set a good pitch curb and that it can be abit unstable at times when making a roll turn out of a hover. It is definately nothing that i would sugest for an experienced flyer, but it is fine for me as a beginner. I am thinking of investing in an onboard ccp mixer later on.
sorry to tell you this but i have now had it with mech mix nothing but problems i have tried for 4 months even upgraded to carbon frames: carbon boom: carbon tail servo mount: carbon blades: ali 120% swash plate: ali tail rotar: ive spent a lot of money its still the same i am now buying ccpm tx i suggest you do the same now because you will in the end take my tip you will save a lot of money and time all the best baza let me no what problems you have with mech mix i might have done it and give you some tips
It can be done but its no fun, You will enjoy your heli much more with CCPM. I went to CCPM 2 years ago when people didnt even know what it was including the glo guys. I havent had to fiddle with my lickages in 50+ flights. Just no need to once its right.

Hi guys,
Just thought I would stop by on the ECO board.
I have heard that mech mixing is a definate no no.
After trawling the web, I found a CCPM onboard electronic mixer that can be used with a non CCPM radio.
Have a look at Quick UK (http://www.quickuk.co.uk/mhup.htm)
Sorry it is a UK site. I haven't found a US equivalent.
Hope this is of some interest to you.
Back to the Piccolo board. http://www.ikarus-modellbau.de/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif
