I use my Tadirans in a variety of models. Yesterday I achieved 59 minutes in the air in one go on a calm evening with my Ikarus Champion glider with power pod. I used two packs in parallel, and use an Ikarus speed controllerm, with battery eliminator, rather than an on / off switch. The model was no longer able to sustain height at about 55 minutes. The measured voltage on the cells 15 minutes after landing was about 7.5 volts. Hope to get the club electic duration record tonight! Not bad for a cheap kit. If I had not had the combination powered up for 15 minutes before launch I may have beaten an hour.
I fitted a GWS "proper" reciever rather than the normal indoor Rx as at times I was flying quite high. The machine was capable of climbing on 50% throttle, and for most of the flight was a little under half stick.
