Hello all you fellow nutters!!
Have just bitten the bullet and ordered x-250-4h and v45 from Midland Helicopters UK.
The helpful chap informed me that the motor is different from the 'old' ones, it is now black in colour for a start. Does anybody know if the difference ends there?? Has it been 'improved'??
Will be flying 10 cells 2400mh in ECO8.
Ta in advance.
UPDATE...have now received x-250-5 motor????
is this ok?? is it not reversed???? surely it has lower rpm??? what pinion????
COME ON IKARUS. WHAT IS GOING ON??
v45 says not to run motor in reverse under load??? surely i will have to have to run in reverse. Some info would be appreciated............

I have just been out flying the x-250-5 with the schulze booster and a 15 pion: must say not bad at all, good power(8 minutes funkey on an aged 10pack) but a slight loading up can be detected at extremes. That's why I'm going to get a 16 pion tomorrow.Looks don't seem alterd(except for the color). As I am new at this brushless-thing,I was quite surprised to find a 5 mm steel shaft;since matching pions are out there I would call it an added bonus, nice!
Testflight2 tomorrow:-)!

Maybe you should consider a Schulze controller because I've heard nothing but complaints about the one from Ikarus.
I posted a message yesterday night but I still don't see it. I have the x-250-5 too and flew it yesterday with Schulze booster, 10 x 2400 mAh and 15t pion; flies sweet but going for the 16t asap: that's what it says on the box.(
