I hover with my Piccolo nice and easy.
No shakes or any problems. However, I notice that the main blade (while circuling in hover) are not paralle to the flybar circle. Is it common or something is not balance properly here? |

Enough people have problems with hovering their piccolo's, so if i were you i would leave it or perhaps wrap solder around the flybar?

I think you may be referring to coning of the main rotor blades.
If you are referring to them NOT being parallel to the mast. This is by design. it helps the heli become more stable in a hover. It is not good for forward flight. It will cause the heli to pitch up when you come out of forward fight. this is called transitional lift, and a heli with a lot of coning will suffer greatly from it. You will see a lot of mods that people have invented or purchased on this site to counter this coning effect. It will help to make the Picc. a better flier outdoors. Ikarus offers the tuning blade which has a teardrop on the tip to deal with this conong think, However, they are not much better than the original blades. I would go with the modification. Hope this helps. Bill |

Hi Eytan, long time no post?
It sounds to me like the heli balance is not right, so you have the swashplate tilted (=trim) to hold it in the hover. This will tilt the flybar circle. I seem to remember my old glow heli flying like that. |
