Well I just finished my first flight on 2 kokam 1020s. Everything seemed to go really well. After about 10 minutes I stopped and both the tail motor and main motor were just warm. They use to get pretty hot with my 8cell nimhs. The one issue I have is how to mount my new pack. I just temporarily rubberbanded it underneath for my test flight but need to come up with a more stable mounting method. Anyone out there running a 2pack lithium setup that can give me some advice on how to mount?

Well here is a pic of my first attempt at mounting using a small piece of wood and some velcro. I was a little worried about the strength of the velcro but I just finished my second flight and it seems to work so far. My second flight was 12:00 and like before the tail was barely warm. So far so good...but if you have any better mounting ideas let me know...

Hey MrM, this is all I have done. My Piccy is tail heavy from all the carbon tow repairs on the boom.
Is this how yours are mounted? I have a different body(Vigor replica)mounted, it's been holding up the front of the pack. |

I just caught your post after I submitted mine. I was thinking of putting just velcro under the tongue. Are you using the original body?

I just tried it with the body. The body seems to tip a little down in the front compared to before with my nimhs, but it does seem to help hold the pack in place.

I glued a cross brack of CF on the legs and wrapped with thread and CA'ed then just used two rubber bands.

Nice One! Warren makes the radio tray from CF just for this type of setup.
