Great picture. I had no idea the orion was so small. So, is the final verdict that the orion will handle the load of the pro ? What about the pinion attachment - the shaft looks a lot shorter than the 410 motor - will it be long enough to attach the pinion?

the shaft is longer but there is a fan on the 410 remove the fan and i think it should be perfect. look at the pic you can just see the fan between the motor and pinion.

but will it be OK on a 9 cell pack and the piccoboard pro , even with incorrect pitch settings (ie, too high headspeed or too high pitch to headspeed ratio ) ??

I'm still toying withe Orion on my Pro. Currently I'm using 8 cells and a 9 tooth pinion but I'm finding it very difficult to get a throttle/pitch curve setup which doesn't bog down at higher pitch or vibrate excessively at hover. I'm going to try an 8 tooth pinion to see if I can get some more RPM out of the Orion and if that doesn't work I'm going to sod it all and go brushless.
