Hi,
I have a stock piccolo fun. Can I ask, the bearings upgrade on anks page, what do they do? Where do they go? Looking at the picture they look like nothing on my piccolo. Thanks, Chris. |

they replace the bushes that you will have at the top and bottom of the main shaft and each end of the tail shaft...

Some bearing upgrade kits supply 2 extra (spare) head bearings - they are the ones that get lost when the head pops off.
Hence some upgrade kits have 6 bearings - some have 8 If you check out the ModelFixings site they give Ikarus part numbers for the replacement bearings. Hope that helps |

I personally can vouch for the bearings from Modelfixings and have them installed on Fun Pic. You get 6 good quality bearings (2 for the tail shaft, 2 for the main shaft and 2 for the rotorhead) sent very quickly from placing of the order. They are also a tad cheaper than the set that Anks sells, but Anks has lots of other goodies to tempt you with

I have Anks kit. Gained about 2 minutes on my 8-cell 700mAh pack. The head is also less sluggish, cuz the nylon bearings really cost you energy steering. BTW About the price... try getting the Ikarus kit, it'll cost ya about $10 more than Anks kit.
