Will a Futaba Attack-4 A.M. Transmitter work?

I just bought my Piccolo, and I'm just waiting for my Futaba Piccoboard to come in. Now someone tells me that you need an FM Transmitter. Is this true? I have a Futaba Attack-4 AM radio. Will this be ok, or will I need an FM one? OR... Can I use an FM crystal or something? Is there any way to get ariund this problem without buying an FM transmitter?

No two ways about it, you have to use a FM transmitter. FM crystals don't work with AM transmitter.

Actually, there is a way around it... You could replace the FM reciever in the Picoboard with a AM reciever...

But think light.. You'd need a VERY small AM reciever with at least 4 channels and at least a small amount of electrics knowledge....

Personally I'd go with a new FM transmitter, though... If you aren't too keen on buying a brand new super-duber computer radio, you could buy a relatively cheap Hitech transmitter, excellent quality at a moderate cost.. (And nope, I'm NOT an employee at Hitech )
