I'm using 800mah tadirans with great sucess. Voltage is what you need to be concerned with. MAH is for duration and voltage is for running of the system. To low and you won't get it of the ground. You can go as high as 9 volts without any damage.

Didn't someone recently say that they had used a small lead acid 12 volt battery on an umbilical to Piccolo ?? My understanding was that the BEC on the Piccoboard regulated from an input of approx. 34 volts max. The BEC provides the regulated voltage to all circuits including the servos. Is that correct ?? I understood that this flyer could 'stay up' for over an hour provided the motor didn't get too hot. Bill C.
