Having just 'graduated' from 8 to 10 cells, I now find I'm getting a lot of glitches. If I go back to an 8 cell pack, they disappear.
Any ideas what to look-for/check/adjust/test? |

there is more power now, also towards the tail isn't your tailrotor belt slipping??

I would plug the Rx to it's own 4 cell pack to see if the glitches go away, perhaps the ESC's BEC is unable to filter out all of the RF noise. I might also try connecting an extra capacitor, say 220uF 63v or greater to the battery side of the ESC.

I want to try an RX battery instead of the BEC in my quest to eliminate my glitching. Problem is I'm not sure how to do that?!? My BEC feeds in on the same cable as my throttle control, so I can't just unplug that and plug in the rx batt. Do I have to cut one of the wires on the throttle cable and use a y-cable to connect the RX batt??

So red must be the + feed. Which is the -? The brown/black? Could a splice another connector into those wires and hook up a RX pack there? Does it matter which input on the RX it connects to, as my pitch servo plugs into the socket on my RX labeled AUX/BAT.

One other question: How many cells are used for an RX pack.. 4, 5, or 6? I'll probably build my own pack, so how many mah should I shoot for in the cells?

you can use 4 or 5 packs for he RX, yes the brown wire is the negative and the orange is for the signal. to turn off the BEC you only need the negative and the signal wires. If you are going to use a battery pack you will need to get an "Y" connector and connect it together with any servo
