Ok spool it up and describe your shakes. Where do you see it? Skids? Tail rotor bobby up and down. What RPM? Let's kill those shakes!

Mine has a small vibration in flight.Sometimes the skids vibrate sometimes the canopy and sometimes no vibration. It's a small vibration that's there one pack and gone the next. This vibration is small when it happens it doesn't effect flight so I just fly and don't over think it.

Does it shake in the first part of spin up or after it's pretty well spun up?

Like a wetdog? May I assume that it is shaking from side to side? How did you check your main shaft and feathering spindle?

[/ QUOTE ] There is nothing wrong with the heli, I checked every thing twice or more, it happens at one specific RPM once you pass that RPM up or down, it stops. May be some kind of low frequence resonance, I guess. But as I posted before ever since I balanced the head and blades together as a whole, and changed my blades to woodies, It stopped. |

It's really not that hard to spot...But if it seems (((impossible))) take it apart one section at a time and spin it up...First take the blades off and spin it. then the flybar give it a spin. then the head...But if you get all the way down to just a gear and a motor....Better go ask for your money back....LOL
99% percent of the time it's Mainshaft feathering ( spindle) shaft Blades- Unbalanced,Tracking, warped, bolted too loose, too tight.(too heavy??)(one on backward..I do that all the time..??)(why? I dont't know?) then next Fly Bar not even Paddles unequal weight Fly bar arms not level..or loose Head Built wrong linkages uneven links too tight..with every rotation a tight link can pull Some bearing spacer or part backwards Bad swash..check to see all the balls are exact and level in slow spin...( cayuse had a bad one) Washout built wrong.. Warped main gear.. Like I said 99 percent of the time...take off the blades and spin it up....watch the mast....it better run smooth as castor oil through the tail pipe.. then check the spindle by turning one nut through the blade holder..( with the blades off.) I need a nap now.. |
