Some Final Pro Pictures

Well it's all finished and back in the air.

I wrote to (Ikarus) Perkins on Monday finally to ask them to replace the original tail motor that I got with it last Christmas and which only lasted a week. Also asked for the boom support which was missing. It all turned up today motor with pinnion and wiring (I only sent the bare motor back) and the boom support.

For the boom support I didn't like the idea of screwing a screw into the main frame shaft holder. The screw could easily go in and rub against the main shaft. Seems like a bit of an Ikarus after thought to me not good design. So I did a little redesign and had the boom support coming up from below. I have the Rc-City modified landing gear on which is better for slightly harder landings.

The Pro has been a pig to get back in the air, but now it is I am pleased. I almost sold all the upgrade parts and converted it back to a FP a couple of weeks ago.

Yes I am lucky have a 25' * 25' shed and a large garden see below. If only I could chop that tree down. Has big pretty flowers err magnolia that's it. Wife would kill me. Over by the washing line when it's down is the best place to fly [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
