Default Flying Space

I am thinking of getting an Eco pic judging by this forum they are a lot of fun. I am worried about the amount of flying space required, espically for a beginner !!!
Obviously a hall is ideal to learn in, but if I want to learn at home what sort of size room is required ?

It's possible to learn in a small space, say 10'X10' with no obstructions. I learned in about a 15'X18" area. That gave me enough room to drop it down on the training gear when it got out of shape and it had enough room to slide to a stop without running into anything.

i learnt over my parent's double bed
see my first initial wobbly hovers here:
Initial Hovering
no problems - in fact it's good for a beginner coz it makes you control the heli in a confined area - a bit like controlling it inside the box from Radd's lessons

I learned in a 12x14' room with furniture around the outside. My brother learned in a church hall with tons of room. Both work. Have a garage? Pull the car out and use it. Now I usually wait for the calm evening air and fly in my back yard.

I did RADD's lessons in a 10' x 15' space and got lucky when it was time to hover. A friend had a BIG empty room about 30' x 40' that I used the training gear in. After thee days of that, the gear came off and I am back in my 10' x 15' but it feels a lot bigger now that I can control things better.

Good luck!
