channels for cp piccolo

how many channels would be needed for a ccpm cp piccolo. 5, 6?

My tx uses channel 6 for pitch. It's possible to do a mix to channel 5 but it won't work with my invert switch.
Guess you have to look at your tx for the answer

J is right. If you had the right mix circuits in your TX, a 5 channel RX would be adequate but this is not typical. I just got the GWS R-6N RX in the mail. These are 9 gram 6 channel receivers for $30. I think the weight can be cut down to 5-6 gram.
