Just receiced my Model Airplane News Magazine and saw an amazing 2 page ad from Ikarus: Fun Piccolo 1 $, when you buy one of 2 accessory packages. That is the best deal I have seen in a long time........you even get the simulator for free!
69$ just for the fun picc without a package! That is cheaper then the new competition, and you get the original heli with all the upgrades and spare parts available.... |

Just spoke with Ikarus the ad. is in the September Issue of Model Airplane News Magazine. An all included kit with Radio ($299 + $1 for Piccolo Fun) and includes the simulator and piccoboard plus. The sale is $249 without the radio +$1 for Piccolo Fun. The radio it comes with is the Lexors tranmitter. Anyone have any comments on this radio?

The Lexors came with my Eco kit too, it seems to be a Focus 4 (Hitec?) with a Lexors sticker on it. It works fine but comes without battery. And of course it only has 4 channels. I've used it for over a year now without any problems.
The Ikarus receivers though (the ones that come shrink-wrapped to the p-board) are not that good in my opinion: I have two that died on me without any apparent cause. I'm now using an ACT micro reciever. Smaller, lighter. Marc |
