And glass is way way cheaper. The also have Kevlar for abou the same as carbon. qYou would also need resin and hardner, but the best stuff comes from Germany.

I have good non sticky epoxy resin from Vosschemie. They are locate 20 minutes from me. The main house of Vosschemie is in Germany.
They have anything a hobbyist might need for resin stuff.
I'll check out their prices again and compare.

The reason the Germans have the best resin is that they were the first ones to really get into building aircraft (gliders) with it. Also, they are able to state the mechanical properties without being liable. Here in the US the manufacturer must THOROUGHLY test everything before anything can be certified. The attitude of cooperation and sensibility is the reason. Here, when you buy resin, you do not know what you are getting.
