I've read the blade balancing artical and have found it very enlightening!.

I have the following 2 questions.

1) Does anyone try to get the c of G to be in the same place along the width of the blade (and if so how!)?

2) The 2 glass method mentioned, how is that done?

1) That is chord-wise CG position and the diference from one blade to the other usually is minimal... so will not cause problems...
The relative position of that point in the width of the blade is very important it is suposse to be at 1/3 front of the chrord...
I'm going to make some experiments about it as I think that having it out of this possition creates ground resonance :-(
I will write an article with the results and with fixes if I found them.

2) The two Glass metod it's very simple just use a 3mm screw throw the balde holes like axel and use the glasses to support the screw it is just a simple home made balancer...

I thought that's what you meant. Wouldn't you need to tighten the bolt a lot to stop the blades drooping?

Yes you need to tighten the bolts but there is no need to take the juice out of the blades

Hi ya Bert and the rest of the Dream Models crew, whoever is responsible for finding the penni copter plan thank you,I've been looking for a free flight little heli for ages and this is a great little thing. The local indoor monthly meeting I attend caters for free flight as well as RC and its going to be way cool flying this amongst the fixed wing rubber models while my micro is charging.
