I have heard that NiMH takes around 5 cycles to "wake up". I found that pretty accurate. You can just use them if you want but if you have time cycle it a few times. Do a slower charge for the first few times like 1/2 C so charge it at no more than 1.5 amps. |

LOL, I am still trying to figure out zapping a pack is a sound scientific process or marketing hype. The result is good though. I did buy zapped pack before and they do have more power. I now have two GP3300 packs, one is unzapped and one is zapped. Once I get the zapped pack going and compare it to the unzapped pack I will have a better idea. |

For first time loading, use 1/10 C (330 mAh) to balance the pack. After that, just go outside and fly .. recharge at 5 Amps (that's what I give my cells since round about a year now, without any noticable loss of capacity , my PowerPeak Infinity II charges 3.450 mAh each pack right after flying) If you want best flight performance, refresh charging right before the flight to kind of "heat up" the cells.

Frank,
You will really notice the difference if you are using 2400 at present...more power and duration..but damn heavy. I have a problem though is it seems my hacker esc can't take the extra hear/current and keeps cutting out. Eddie |

I'm not familiar with the Hacker ESC, but I know with the CC controllers this is what needs to be done to prevent shutdowns like that. If you can't disable/lower the values of either of those, then try running a higher throttle setting and lower pitch to reduce the current being pulled through the ESC. |

definately charge them at 1/10 the first time. I can notice a difference with the packs that I have between the ones that were done 1/10 the first time and the pack that I charge at 1c the first time. The 1c pack gets hotter when running and charging (especially 2 cells at the end). Then again may be just that that pack has some not so good cells in it. Definately does not hurt the cells or pack to do the 1/10 balancing charge first.
