Aaaahhhh, yes it is the FUn package deal, I thought that batt pack looked suspect. I will try again with my new Powerex 8 cell pack and see if there is a difference. Thanks for the quick replys.

Yeah, I go ripped off that 8 cell 600 mah battery. In the begining it couldn't even lift off the ground. Now it does but I only get about a minute out of GE and a few more in GE. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

9 minutes is a sweet flight time ThePitchedLink for a brushed motor on Ni-Mh cells! Add two Kokam 1200HD cells and that could easily double to over 20 minutes! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Oh great! I recently purchased a Fun Pic with the $1 deal. The receiver was bad, had to send it back, and waiting for the replacement. Now I hear the battery is junk!
Has anyone tested the capacity of the 8 cell 600 mAh battery? Does it live up to its specs? If so how can 100 mAh make such a big difference in the flight time, that is only about a 17% increase in capacity?

It doesn't take much to keep a Pic in GE. A little overweight, a little under powered, a little bind, etc, and/or a little of all and you have the picture.
It's not so much the pack's capacity as it is the ability to deliver the 3-5 amps required.
