I was wondering what everyone thinks about servo's. Are hs-50's the best or are the other options? Thnx, Ed

I think the hs-50 or hs-55 are the best ones. The hs-50 servos are a bit lighter than the hs-55s if you are looking to also save a bit of weight, but they are also more $$$.

Best in what respect is the Q for you!
![]() For me the best is the lightest servo, and one which I don't have, the Westech 2.1g (thats its name and weight). Using those will save you a solid 8g+ on 'boxed' servo's, when you bear in mind 8g is almost 5% of a lightweight Pico's AUW, you know it makes sense, but for the cost! Personaly, I have had good success with HS50's but not on the Picc.... so can't really comment. I think pretty much any sub 6g servo should do, it's not like you have a huge ammount of cash tied up in it for when/if it fails ![]() Scott PS. Current draw is of course an issue, one which I neatly skip over! |

Hi
I have HS-50's and they work well - I tried PS20's but they glitched and developed a fault so I changed to HS-50's. The HS-50's look pretty good too... Regards, James |

I have both HS-50's and Pico BB's. The 50's are a bit lighter but more fragile. I've had to replaced the gears on the 50's several times, but not once with the BB's. The BB's are much cheaper too, and have ball bearings!
