Default Micro helis at airshows?

Is it just me, has anybody ever seen a piccolo demistration at a model show in the UK? Iv seen:- Control line, large IC Models, Funfly Ic, Small parkflyer, Electeric models, IC Raptors, Ic helicopter and even a sky surfer but i have never seen a piccolo. I once saw a eco 8 which was nice but never a piccolo!

Why?

When i fly at my local model club (which is full of IC Planks) I always get a crowed and a cheer and i can only do basic acrobatics, surely a advance pic flyer would be able to amaze the crowds at shows!

I think there should be a piccolo flying team!

LOL

The 2001 Sandown Model show was the first time I'd ever seen a Piccolo ... oh I remember it well! Even though after I'd barged to the front of the mass of people around the Ikarus stand the Pic pilot flying stopped for a rest or to change batteries (he was on Ni-Cds back then probably ...)!

Kev and I should be doing an indoor demo at the YAS "Christmas" show Harrogate end of November. Not much space though in the conservatory, so just basic hovering manoeuvres.

I have seen a hairnet at a model show in Oxford once
Not a pico, but that got me searching for e- heilcopters and then i stumbled upon the Pico!!
So if it wasn't for the hairnat, i probably would never have gotten a pico!!!!!!
See, they are good for something!!!!!

I saw a "hairnet" at sandown 2 years ago, some dude was hovering inverted in a very small space. everyone was drawn in but the site of a micro electric heli upside down and then nobody would leave cos they want him to loose control and make sh$% of it. Which he never cos someone then grabbed it cos there wasnt enough room in the booth to get it right side up!
