Default Picc carry case

Hi there,

I was thinking about trying to get one of those aluminium foam-filled camera case to hold my Picc and my Tx. Ive found a few in Jessops (uk camera supplier) but has anyone else found an alternative solution ?

Tim

I've been recommended EXACTLY the same thing for my Tx, but I'm not sure if it's entirely appropriate for the Pic itself. Have you visited Nige's site? (Modeltek)

I just wanted something that wasnt going to get crushed and that would hold most of my stuff in one box.

Havent looked at Niges site but arent they made of plastic ?

I get my aluminium TX, charger, battery etc. case for Christmas

BTW, I don't think there is a suitcase big enough for all , or they'll get too expensive!

Yes they are plastic. I've got one and I've reinforced all but one of the sides with lengths of CF rod - you could drive a tank over this thing! (don't try though ). I carry my Pic, batteries, glue, tape, string, tools and canopy and it's a very attractive lightweight box to boot ...

Tim,
I picked up a 24" stanley toolbox from B&Q for around £15.
You can get everything in it.
Just got to source some foam for the inside.

I also got a 24" toolbox from B&Q's, everything is in there, even my SH*TY tx!! Definately worth it! It's shiny and black, has a nice handle on top, and keeps everything in place! It's a Stanley toolbox if you need to know

Just an Idea for sourcing foam to pad out tool boxes etc. I get mine from the local market stall selling fabric, wool etc. They're sort of seat cushion size, and cost a couple of quid. Any fabric/haberdashery shop should sell foam. Just as an added bonus, it should also be fire resistant.
