Oh HEll YEAH! It takes a little getting use to but i could only CRASH with the piccoboard. It was my fault but i wasnt good enough to fly without crashing all the time so it killed the piccoboard.
Yeah go with the CSM HLG200 its a great little thing. I can finally hover steady with it and my tx is not setup for revo mixing at the moment so you can use just a four channel TX.And for esc's you can go with a GWS 5 amp and 2 amp there pretty cheap so not that big of a deal if they crap out on you! Good luck! Matt |

I strongly recommend seperates. I went that way from the start. Brother #2 went with the piccoboard, had some success learning to hover, and now has seperates. Brother #1 went seperates from the start.
I would be concerned about running 3 cells and using the CSM HLG200. Many have reported wag problems with this setup. Some have been able to get around this by changing ESCs, cutting tail blades down, or using DD tail. Some have had no problems. I am not saying that this won't work, but be aware that there have been problems reported. An option for you, since you already have the power of 3 cells, is to get the Futaba gy240. It is heavier than the CSM by a good chunk, but 3 cells can generate enough head speed to overcome that. The gy240 is a very good HH gyro. I have not heard of the same wag issue with the gy240 and high voltage applications. Brother #1 uses the gy240 and 3 cell LiPos. Brother #2 uses the hlg200 and 2 cell Lipos. (I use the pg03, a non-HH gyro and a Heli capable Tx) If you go seperates, consider getting a tail ESC with a higher switching rate, like the schulze slim 105he. This is easier on the tail motor. (maybe not so important if you are using the DD tail setup) |
