Default Beginner, should I cut my blades?

I'm just learning how to fly my Fun Piccolo. I have to do this in a relatively confined space so I'm constantly landing it so I don't hit anything. Will cutting the blades give me more stability, more of "it flies itself", till I learn how to control it better? Would I then have to change my pinion from the 9 to the 10 tooth? I understand if I hit something I'll possibly incur more damage but that's ok.
Thanks

It will give more stability, but the controls are more twitchy. It never flies itself.

That's a contradiction in terms.

You either want stability or agility.... you can't have both. Cutting the blades will increase the headspeed, which will in turn increase the rate of cyclic response making the heli more agile.

In the hands of a skilled pilot this will have the effect of making the heli more stable in the hover because the control is more precise.

In the hands of a beginner it is simply making it more likely that you'll over-correct and making it more difficult to learn. If you want greater stability you need to dull the rate of cyclic response, which is exactly the opposite effect cutting the blades will have. You could try a steel flybar (heavier than the stock CF one).... but IMHO I would just learn to fly it as it is.

Training gear will significantly lower your CG and make the Pic more stable.

Moving your control rods in one hole on the servo arm will slow the response down to as you learn.

I'd avoid cutting your blades not knowing your set-up, battery selection, etc. You can quickly be out of lift and stuck skidding wround the floor as you wait for new blades to arrive

So quick to put down the blade guy. What I meant was that in still hover it's more stable, but when you move the sticks the heli responds much quicker than with the standard head speed.
