Default Helihobby auto rotation unit

Hi, has anyone used the helihobby blue anodised auto rotation unit on a piccolo pro, if so how did you find it. I recently broke the freewheel bell on the main gear and have ordered this part as a replacement along with the CNC machined gear. While i was at it i ordered a metal cp slider and metal hub, for such a small heli (or toy as my girlfriend calls it) your sure can run up the expenses. At least she thinks the parts are toy prices.........lol

Yep, too many people make the false assumption that the picc is a cheap option into the hobby.

Maybe it is for a week or two

Hi, i didnt really make that assumption, i have three gas models 2 Caliber 30s and a Raptor V2 just thought this sounded like fun about the house. But the Piccoboard and setting up is a whole new ball game, i think its much easier to actually set up the larger helis what with larger tolerances etc!!!!!!!

Thanks Sao, i always find eflight are out of stock. Seems like demand is outstripping supply for all the micro heli upgrades. Now if only i had the knowledge and skill to use a CNC computer controlled Lathe. Come to think of think of it my brother works on one for Bombardier and what with the slump in their orders he may have time on his hands.........lol

No worries snapperman, I wasn't meaning you in partucular. Hell I got 4 helis (including a caliber FT ) and I thought the pro was a cheap option for those summer evenings. Jeez, I got over £600 wrapped up in the little bugger now

Might be cheaper you for you Sao if you look into the cost of padding for your flying room...aka Padded Cell!

The quality level of the Helihobby items is very low. My parts, and another guys here recently wouldn't fit together. I hope this is not the case for you, thats a longggg way to ship.

The autorotation unit from HeliHobby is very good actually (one of the few alu pieces that are good IMO).
