Please can you tell me if i have to fit an esc when using the lithium battery setup.
As you might have seen from my previous posts i'm only getting approx 5 mins from my lithium(1200mah). Have i been ill advised from the model shop as enquiries to another model shop they sell lithiums as a setup that comes complete with a charger and esc. If i do need one can you tell me which i will need and where to connect them on my piccolo. Thanks for any replys |

No you don't need an ESC - the Piccoboard already has one built-in. The ESC he's probably referring to is one designed for LiPos that cut off at a certain voltage level for safety. But seeing as you've already got an ESC, and your heli will be in GE well before any damage occurs to the cells you don't need it. Just hook the Lithium-pack up to the Piccoboard as you have with your other batteries.

NO As David says the Li controller only has a low voltage cutout specially for Li packs, and a sudden cutout of the heli main motor can be very distressing!
If worried about the packs, fit a warning light, can be bought or built. |
