well i had some good 30 seconds off hover time before my rx-arial got wrapped in the swash..crashed and the a-r link taking a ball off the swash.
is this in some way repaireble or should i get a new swash if im going for the a-r link upgrade. second : if got 30 euro to spend on a battery what is wise to take 7 aaa (mAH?) cells or something else. as im still flying with a 6 cell car pack with a rather short umbilical cable. |

It IS repairable if you're careful I believe (and still have the ball).
I believe you can use a 1mm drill to make a hole right though the ball and into the swash, then a piece of piano wire to join them. Another option might be a map pin. Yes, you need a minimum of 7 cell NiCads (AAA size). Have you visited Paul Goelz's site? You'll find a lot of info there which will help with regard to both problems. The address is in the "Welcome" post. |

You can use a map pin but put it in a drill to sand the ball down to size with sanpaper and reglue the pin in to the ball for strength.
o/t if you loose a link you can use a map pin on one end connected to a straw or tube that has a hole cut in the side that the ball pops in to.kept me in the air while waiting for a spare. |

And you need to tripple check your antenna, ohm it out if you have a meter, from the tip to the Picoboard, wiggling it also as it may be broken internally.

CrashExpert
You could also just use a Pro A-R cnc upgrade, same as the fp but with 1 arm instead of 2 so you wouldn't have to fix your swash, works great on my pro.The pin idea works really well also.If ya look around(moms sowing box )you can find pin heads that fit perfectly. Am using 1 know on my lower swash for my therd input arm with my fbl setup.perfect fit . Dr'e |
