Default Piccoboard Upgrade

I received a mail from JR Perkins (UK distributors) and can confirm the details for the exchange option on the piccoplus board, which I want to share with this BB

You have to send your current piccoboard in its original shrink wrapping, together with a cheque or credit card details for a paymnet of £60.00 In return you will receive the new piccoplus board which accepts the new heading hold gyro and has the fifth channel. The SSP for the HH Gyro is £17.99 making a total price of £77.99 if you want both. There was no mention of additional post and packing charges.

I have stock of the new board and modules too.

I may even be tempted to build a new one myself to try the heading lock module. It's so tiny, hardly bigger than a postage stamp.

Since I have damaged my diode, I have asked JR Perkins for the exchange option, they told me that - the price to Service Exchange for a PiccoBoard Plus is SRP £112.49 plus postage fee.

Go with separates, the piccoboard, all in one, is a pain in the rear. Just ask all the guys with broken piccoboards and no one close to repair them, most people are going with separates, price of separates cheaper 2.

Hi Guys,

J. Perkins replaced my "defective" Piccoboard with the PiccoboardPlus for free. Guess they thought I'd "suffered" sufficiently to warrant it.

Tony.

I have two Pics, both with Piccoboards, over 1000 flights each, without so much as a hickup. I have never had a bit of trouble with my Piccoboards. Seperates do work OK, especially if you go brushless. I just like the Piccoboard. Too each his own. Thx, Eric S. NLE81800.
