Hi all
Got my MS Pinnacle in the post Saterday. Today I finsihed!! Jsut been out for 1st flight, check tracking etc. ALL LOOKS GOOD! Only hovered it but can;t wait to get out in a larger space to fly. With Governing at 85% the head speed sounded a bit low for me! and clime out was ok but nothing special, I think ill try it with a 9t Pinion instead of 8t nxt time! Any ideas on what max head speed you should use on H**net head? Here are some PICS! Watch out HAlesowen Fly-in the pinnacles are comeing! |

A Good headspeed for the hornet head is around 2100 a lot of people ive heard fly at 2300 and some even max it out to near 3000 I'm sure they must have an ally head of some type though
Not sure on the gearing with that main gear and i dont know your motor but for a normal hornet cp i think hacke b20-22 10-11 tooth pinion on MS main gear razor v2 10 tooth on MS main gear sorry dont know how many teeth the main gear is. Sure others will chip in though. Nice looking heli, almost orange enough aswell but not quite Edit ps dont forget to check the temps of the batts and motor after 5 mins or so and make sure stuff istn overheating and adjust your gearing accordingly if needed |

Glad to see you went with the Hornet head version. The Hornet head is MUCH better then even the all aluminum Piccolo head. Hornets like 2100-2300 head speed. Oh yeah and if you plan to do any aerobatics I suggest either: 1. lighten those paddles with a dremel then use packing tape to cover/balance them 2. Getting the threaded flybar and 3D paddles from MS. This is the best choice and costs about $20. Your Hornet will REALLY wake up with diffrent paddles. Let us know how she 3D's |

thanks guys. Unfortunatly my kit was missing the threaded flybar and 3d paddels but PMP are sending me some in the post next week or so free of charge!
Ill let you know how it comares to my PMP piccolo head once i get to play with it some more. Oh yes i may try the piccolo pro paddels on it, they are lighter and have a much bigger surface area! |

I got the same motor as you mate I my thoughts of headspeed are the same. I think the ModelM motor produces a lot of torque I think Im gonna go up to the maz pinion I can

Graig nice job mate looks nice ,i ran my plastic head on my hornet at 2600rpm and all seamed ok ,now got the super head which i here does over 3400 rpm, just ordered another super head for my other hornet works out about £120 with shipping because of the exchange rates, so its a good buy and it is being done in silver now so will look cool on your pin, ive had a few bits from HH now ally bits and all seamed fine, dont seam to mix well with the plastic bits but as a whole head it fitted to gether well, good job dood
