Just for fun I decided to see how long I could hover on the stock battery, oh yeah I'm Brushless. I got just over 10 minutes of flight. So the stock battery is not a paper weight after all..... Lithium 3 cell is still well over 23 min but the stock gives me 10... wow!

Flight times?? You mean you can fly on a 8 cell 295 ? may 3-4 minutes if everything was perfect. Gear mesh was the bigest factor. I did get around 20 min a few times with the 295 and 3 cell litho. of course the motor and battery were hot.

We used to get times of around seven minutes with the 295 and 7 cells(250 mah sanyo),we had never heard of liths or brushless back then .
When i went to cp and 8 cell 250 sanyo i was getting six minutes. Brushless motors and liths are a good way to disguise many potential inefficiency problems. Theres a guy on rc forums ,claims to be getting 39 mins on 2 cell humming bird. its not a race to see who can win but if you are getting double the time of someone else then whatever you are doing can only be good for the chopper. |

RotoryWingPilot, what brushless motor are you using? I assume it's not a CD Rom motor?
