Default super tiny brushless motor

ive just found an outrunner brushless motor with an outside diameter of 1.9 cm !!
it came from a laptop floppy disk drive

i will weigh it with the backplate and try and get some photos this evening. its probably lighter than an IPS, might make a good brushless tail rotor system!

That's pretty darn small!!!! I hope you've got small hands if you're thinking of rewinding and remagneting it!

I always thought floppy disk motors were huge! Oh well! Get those pics uploaded ASAP!

yeah this is from a portable floppy disk. the motor spun a big drum on a belt drive. the only reason i found it at all was because i saw the belt that it was driving. just gotta wait for dad to get back with his cam

Yes that is pretty small!!!!!! nuclear is right - what have you been doing to that poor 310!

I somehow don't think it will work unless you wind wire on all the poles.

So you gonna make a mount for it? If you want you could send it to me and I'll make a mount for it .... but I can't guarentee that you'd get the motor back!
