Default CD-ROM Governor mode

Hi, people may be some one can help me. I’m train my Pro with a CD-ROM motor (15 turns) with a Phoenix 25 and it works.

My troubles start when I active de governor mode, the motor accelerate very slowly and at the end is unable to maintain a constant speed (estrange governor mode).

My configuration :

1 - Cutoff Voltage : Option 4 / 7.2V

2 - Current Limiting : Option 3 / Standard

3 - Brake Type : Option 1 / Soft delayed brake

4 - Throttle Type : Option 3 / Governor mode Low RPM range (with Hi RPM the motor don’t accelerate in off)

5 - Electronic timing advance : Option 2 / Standard (With Hi and Low advance the motor don’t accelerate in off in governor mode)

6 - Cutoff Type : Option 1 / Hard Cutoff

7 - Soft Start : Option 2 / Soft Start

Regards.

Alberto

The very slow acceleration is probably the soft start.

If it doesn't maintain a constant speed there are two possibilities:
1) You have your throttle curve wrong. You need a throttle curve of something like 0-50-50-50-50. It must be a flat line, apart from that it must start at zero. If you set the numbers too low the Phoenix will 'pulse' the motor and it will not maintain a constant speed. If it is not flat then governor mode will not work.
2) Your phoenix governor mode doesn't work. There are a lot of Phoenix's out there with this problem. The newer ones are OK but if it's quite old this may well be the problem.

Default Tanks for your responses.

Tanks for your responses.

The controller is new. I received that from e-flight three weeks ago.
The throttle curve is 0, 83, 83, 83, 83, 83, 83, 83, 83.
The motor have in off power to fly. Today it flow 20 minutes continuous flying.

My Pro was 370gr weight and now with the CD-ROM motor only 330gr.

I’m very happy with this helicopter, the only trouble is the estrange vibration when the main rotor slow down to stop.
