Default gyro mounting question and brushless motor/controller question

hi all,
if i put my gy240 gyro behind the main mast/shaft should it be turned in the same direction (the wires coming outthe same side)as if it were in front of the mast where i had it before?
also i know all three wires should be the same for the esc/ motor but does it really help to have tthem as short as possible?
thanks sammy

Just make sure you have the GY240 "upright" (the side with the pot and the two switches pointing upwards). Doesn't matter if the wires come out towards the front, back, left or right.

Also make sure you don't pull the wires tight when mounting. I did this and all of a sudden, my gyro went crazy. Then read the manual, and there was a comment relating to this. Moving mine to my pro. I like this gyro, it was just to heavy compared to others, but had excellent results with it.

Saves power, saves weight and reduces interference (twist the motor wires together too) but don't make them so short that they are strained.
