Default Eco Piccolo carring box with handle, question

Does all the Eco Piccolo comes with that neat carring box with handle and locks? Is that card board that looks like wood, or is that real wood? Does the assembled heli fits in there?

Hi, Tony. The wood-looking box of the Eco is really cardboard, and not very strong one. In mine, that is already a bit smashed. Inside I can carry The heli, the transmitter and a couple of things more.
The problem is with the weight in the handle, the whole box moves and it does not look very safe.
In my opinion this box is not worth. I found an aluminium carrying case shorter and taller, and I think is perfect, and can carry much more things...

Can you post a pic, or a link to it?

I´m sorry my webpage is not working...BRRR If you need a more detailed picture, we´ll try finding a place to host it.
Outside is aluminium and black plastic ( I thought more durable). The same size is available in alu color, as well.

Midland helicopters sell this one, in fact if anyone has one i wouldnt mind the measurements of it, so i can make one pretty similar out of Corex!!!!!!!!!!!

That box is actually made by Nige (board member) and his site is here:

www.modeltek.com

I got one of those cases and it was great for just carrying the Piccolo in .... but me being me wanted to carry more than just a Pic in it! I found it a bit flimsy so I stiffened up each side with CF rods and it could hold a horse now!

Good on you Hogster, to be honest i could make this for about £2 and use heavier corex into the bargain (no offence Nige) i guess its a case of make up your own template sizes, at least you can see the basic shape including tabs etc as the box is transparent.......i feel my next project coming on!
