EDF-50 (highVoltage) Duct fan on 3cell Li-po from heli hobby

great The edf-50 (for litiums) on helihobby blew up in 5 mins on my lipos. I heard you should use the edf-50H that has the 3 fin fan and should work good is this true ? and if so why did they send me this edf-50 supposidlly for litiums with 5 fans ??? oh well not worth to retern stuff to usa from finland so i guess i have to order a new one from somewhere else [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] anyone else had this problem ?

You may as well send it back, and get a new one, you never know. I had a duff servo in my fun pic package from HH, I sent it back and a few weeks later there was a new servo waiting for me [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

bin flying my 5 bladed edf 50h for like forever now on 3x lipo and never had a problem with it.

did u order your edf-50 from helihobby ? as there was no sign of the H after the edf-50 ... just curious as the edf-50 H from gws is only in 3 blade format and pulls only 2 amps.

noop,got it in holland.the box is marked edf 50BH and its the 2amp one ya.basicly the same as the edf 50H exept it has a 2030x5prop(2.16amps at 9.6v with 64g thrust)instead of the 2020x3(1.35amps at 9.6v with 53grams thrust)of the H or 2030x3(1,85amps at 9.6v with 59g thrust) of the AH.
