Default GY240 or theCSM200?

For the Pic Pro:
I have heard better news about using the GY240 than the CSM200. I now have a CSM200 and have serious tail control issues. Is the GY240 that much better? I am running a TREK speed controller for the tail.
Should I ditch my CSM200 and buy the GY240?

How many cells are you running?
If you are runing a 2 cell LiPo, you likely will not have enough head speed to lift the heavy gy240, so the CSM is usually a better choice with 2 cells.
If you are running 3 cells, the higher voltage can make the CSM over sensative, making the tail wag until you turn down the gain so much that no gyro benefit remains, so the gy240 is usually the better choice with 3 cells.

I have never tried the CSM200, but the combination of a GY240, TREC and Direct Drive tail has been a success for me.
I can only recommend it

I am running three cells. I have the Astroflight 010 14 turn with P10 controller, TREK and CSM200 with standard drive tail rotor.
Are you running the DD tail on a PRO? If so, what motor and prop? I tried DD on my pro with no success. Can't remember what size prop. Orange was the color.
Thanks,
Gary

I am running the DD tail in a FP piccolo with a 3x2 or 3x3 prop (depending on what I have available). The tail motor is a GWS CN12-R-XC.

I have reduced the max curve height, but I think I only have it at 0 for about 4 spaces. I will bring it farther to the right and give it a shot.
Thanks,
Gary
