Default Difference between piccoboard and piccoboard plus ??

Is it just the pins that allow the fitting of the Head Holding module?
If thats all it is, I could fit them myself.
Or does the PB+ have different firmware to support the HH modules also?
Do I even need the HH module, as a newbie flyer ?
I don't see a lot of talk of the HH module - how many people actually use it? Is it a recommended upgrade?

TIA,
Texy

Hi, Texy, answering to your second question: the HH may not look very important while hovering, if your mixer is well regulated, but it is going to make things much easier when you go on forward flight... and much more in nose-in flight.
Also... the Pb Plus (at least mine) has pins for 6 channels. Dunno about the normal PB.

I think you may have a point - I don't have the ikarus catalogue in front of me, but isn't the standard piccoboard only 4 channels? Apart from that I bet it would still support a HH module if one were to solder the pins on.

The older ones will work OK
but Ikarus caught on to what we were doing
and Disabled HH on the newer boards

You only need to add the servo connectors to the Rx to
use the extra Chns

I think the piccolo flies much better without that crappy HH module. I hate it. Had i known this before, i would have picked a standard piccoboard.

[/ QUOTE ]If you're just learning to fly your first heli, then it may be useful because you won't need to think about the tail input in the first stages of learning. You can focus on cyclic and throttle only. Then, you will probably want to remove it as soon as you can hover...

[/ QUOTE ] Most people use either a piccoboard without HH, or go separates.
