It is rated at 5 amps so its rather sh_ite I have replaced both the fets and the shotkkys with 10a min replacements and added a extra regulator to the space provided and now i can run it without much worry dont try to put a speed 300 in there unless u have modified the board

2 cells no problem.
Many have used the following motors n cell counts on the Pic board without any problems:
G310/295 on 2cells(7.4) and 3cells(11.1v)
Orion Elite on 2 cells only

General hovering of a normal weight Piccolo FP with the correct motor draws between 2-3 Amps (including tail motor and servos etc.). If you blast full throttle now and then you may draw up to 5.5 Amps for short periods on the 6A rated Pic board.

Shhh . I ordered samples from texas instuments for the regulator(free ))) the fets i got from RS Componats about 1 euro each and the shotkys i got from Paul as u can only buy them in bulk to avoid the insane packing fee.
U can get them all from Pauls site and it great service with superb advice.

be aware though that u need quite good soldering skillz to solder the fets and a pin tip on the iron with temp control preferablly
it si easy to rip the track removing old ones.
I had to do it cause i blew mine when i used a 3 cell lipo
solder braid is very clumsy and it helps to have the correct tools to do it.

I beleve paul can also offer that service check his site.
