The search on this forum is terrible but any way I need to find out how high I should be running my head speed for light 3D. I am using walts carbon blades and I have every metal upgrade so the head should be able to handle it.
Thanks Mike |

Ditch the W blades, they don't have enough weight leading to fluttering. I'd get the woodie copies from hellhobby (be sure to glue the roots -- they have let loose on me before). |

If you can get the carbon blades to run without fluttering, then somewhere over 2000 rpm - 2200 to 2400 is a good place to start. "As high as possible" is also another one. There was guy a while back running 3000 rpm and getting insane performance. However Walt's blades can be marginal on a piccolo and they tend to flutter very badly. I always found the stock wooden blades flew a lot better, even at 2500 rpm.

Ditto
Stock woodies fly the best IMHO Head speed was as fast as i could without detonating the heli |

Thanks guy's I thought I was hearing something from the blades! They seem to work fine untill I get over 2000 then they start to talk to me Oh well I have a new set of woodies so I will try them out.
