I've mastered the hover and managed to have a few seconds of nose in without crashing. I've fitted some CF blades and as I've moved recently I've got a larger room to fly in and am playing with some forward flight. I am ok in forward flight but when I try and stop the heli comes to a standstill, then swings back and forth for ages before it returns to a hover.
Is this the pendulum effect I've heard people mension? When I reduce the amount of forward stick to come to a rest it needs yet more forward stick to stop it stalling - am I doing the right thing? ------------------ Cheers, LKid ICQ 22724196 GBL062601 http://members.tripod.com/~LKid/heli.html |

i ,m guessing that your hub bearings are getting worn or if you look down at them from above maje sure the pins that they sit in or screws are in line with each other, same from the side, could also be a worn head or maybe even a pendullumating thumb

Yes as far as I'm concerned it is. Overcoming this nosing up is one of the great skills to be masterered with a Pic. I liken it to driving to the top of a hill, just gettin to the top and sliding back down again, backwards. You have to judge the top of the hill so to speak, throttle back a bit and then shove it over the top with some forward cyclic. If you watch somebody flying a Pic the throttle and forward/ backward stick are on the move a lot of the time, in opposite directions. Hope this helps Arthur
