How many times changes the Realize Date of Viper 70?

First it was middle of April, then middle of May.
What have we now??? Middle of June!!!

When get we that Model?! It is almost summer - and exactly fly-time!

Main site says available spring.....its well into summer and way past mid june.

US site says late June....I guess theres 4 working days left but its not looking likely.....any news??

Something tells me there is several problems with the Viper series from Ikarus, that something is MARKETING and DESIGN, and so on, a good heli pilot and builder might seek to improve on existing, working, designs rather than wishing for the new unproved ones.

It is so happened, that the red text "... middle Juni" is dissapered!
May be - it is accessable now?

We understand: It is difficult to wait. As to my knowledge only "Santa" is on time every year.
Be assured that the R&D personal at Ikarus is very well capable of designing a well balanced product. There is a difference in changing something on an existing design compared to developing a completely new product from scratch.
There are various reason, why a products release could be delayed. Some of which are:
1. A helicopter kit requires also a number of suppliers, who
have to come up with the correctly manufactured subcomponent in time. That relates not only to the injection molding specialist, but even to the printer who is producing the instructions and packaging.
2. If Ikarus engineers should come to the conclusion, even during the manufacturing process, that a certain component should be changed, it will speak for the product eventually.
3. There are production Vipers out in the hands of top pilots (in Europe as well as in the US) who really are running them through serious tests, which also takes some time.
4. Viper 70 kits and ARFs will be released very shortly, in
Europe as well as in the US. Initial quantities will fill existing backorders.

I am already have Viper 70 with sample kit.
So the problem is away and it`s the Fun-Time coming [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
