Anyone try the 2/3AAA Nimh packs from Ikarus?
Boy are they ever small and light in comparison to the 720's. They come with the deans connector and in 7 or 8 cells configuration. I would think that they should give better duration than my 270 and 350 Nicd. Paul |

Are Nimh cells as sensitive to heat (when soldering)as Nicads?

Thanks for the info.
This is great to know. Especially with the weight of my new fuselage it may be wise for me to look for a lighter Nimh cell to keep the weight down. Paul |

I have been making battery packs using cells from Dave at fyerzrus@aol.com. He has 370 mah NIMH cells for $2.00 ea. They weigh 7.2 grams each, and typically cycle over 400 mah.

Would these cells be suitable for the C/P conversion?

on a piccolo? yes.
on a hornet? yes, but you might shorten their life due to the higher current draw johnk |

the power is excellent and since they weigh a lot less, the heli is very lively.
