Default ? About Air When Flying Indoors

O.K. here we go, Ive learned to hover 2-3 feet off the ground (I float to L.H. & R.H. & back & forth a little). When I get about 5-6 feet high my Piccolo seems to become alot more unstable (It seems kinda like ground effect cause it wants to slide all over). Is this normal? I have my ceiling fans turned off & its happening in an exposed living room. Are there other air type conditions I havent discoverd yet flying in my house? Thanks in advance for all your help!!!!

The ground tries very hard to be re-united with the picollo. Sorta like a moth and a lite bulb.Once you get above a certain height the ground gives up and sit's back and waits, knowing full well it will sooner or later claim back it's beloved bird.

So yes, perfectly normal on a pretty much factory stock picollo to wander around near the light bulb.

Hello Rocket mate. flying in an average sized room can be hairy. Basically you stir all the air up and fly in big vortexes. This leads to the dreaded pendulum effect, since the Pic is so light further more the fixed pitch with the consequent delay makes things even worse. The effect can be even worse if the radiators are on and you get convection currents. I suppose the real answer is to fly a big gas 60 in the room. !!!!! Arthur

"Ceiling suckers",you gotta watch out for them, like little black holes floating around in your living room, usually located near the ceiling,if you feel like the chopper has a mind of its own get ready to drop the throttle before you get sucked in to oblivion.

WHOA! Do I know what you mean with ceiling suckers. I've got a nice little video of my Picco in my living room. I was about 6' high, and she just started climbing. I reduced throttle, but she wouldn't come down. Ended up clipping the lights! Good thing my "receiver hands" from football still work, only the battery hit the floor, and I caught the rest.
