Hey! I'm getting tired of hearing everyone saying get the MS Hornet! What is so great about the MS Hornet? Is it because it's new?
I need some info please. |

I've not flown the Hornet but I guess, that an advantage of it is that it has a real pitch-tail-rotor.
I'm really sick of the Piccolos tail-motor. When will there be a brushless version? |

IMHO the Piccolo is prolly a little more durable than the Hornet. But, both will serve you well (I don't think the CP Hornet is available yet... I could be wrong though). If you get the Pic, spend a few extra bucks and get one Pierre's aluminum hubs: other wise you be loosing head bearings and cursing the day you bought your heli. Pierr's website is here: http://hometown.aol.com/pierre7946/m...colo_Hubs.html

Always has to competition..kinda like Windows vs Macintosh..not much software for the mac and windows has BIG draw backs to..
The Pic can take a ding and get back on the wing.If the Hornet starts to crash, put the parts in the trash. Hornets more stable,Pic is more able....and if... never mind..You sound like a piccolo pilot to me anyway |

in the house, a Piccolo is just fine., but i personally prefer the Hornet. the Hornet's collective tail makes the Piccolo's feel mushy by comparison.
all in all, as Phil (pitts_s1a) stated before, the Piccolo floats, and the Hornet flys so i guess it all depends on what you want to do with it. about the only thing that ever breaks on the Hornet are the gears (stripping teeth), otherwise,it's at least as equally strong, if not, stronger. 2 cents ------------------ johnk NJJ011101P CP Piccolo NJJ021101M Moth NJJ051001H Hornet NJJ053001G CP Gnat NJJ082601A Aero (CF Hornet) NJJ101901C CP Hornet MicroHelis [This message has been edited by johnk (edited 12-23-2001).] |

the hornet is tuff , I dove mine in after the esc cut off from 25 feet up doing about 25 mph , straight down , it hit so hard it knocked the crytal out of my rx and just broke the glue joints , and a few servos got knocked loose too , hell , when I went to pick it up , I was saying to myself, this ones trash , picked it up , didnt look at it till I got home , and in 15 minutes I was testing the heli out ,
By the sound of your typing , it looks like Im just blowing smoke up your ears , so it sounds as if you are getting the pic . but if you do like most guys , you will get both , I was lucky to get the hornet first , and didnt wont the problem of having a motor on the tail , hell , you dont see real helis with a 10 horse e. motor on the tail do you ? or all the other ele. RC helis out there for that mater . and now you are wondering what Im doing here , the new CP head . just checking how yall are like it , Tony |

The Hornet is loader and give you shorter flights (with the same battery)
My Piccolo with Hacker and cp-kit is even loader and give me even shorter flights but I stil love it so I guess that was not the reason in first place. Don't know what to think now, am I going crazy? Or am I letting my felings take over like a girl?! Need a doctor quick! ------------------ SE-XJL Hubs and other mods And Flybar bearing mod Piccolo records page |
