I made no attempt to lighten anything except to remove the Schulze supplied wires in favor of somewhat smaller guage. And that includes the painted (dope) canopy at about 6-8 grams.
Servos are HS50 at 6 grams each. The receiver is the Berg6, at 12 grams. ------------------ Paul Goelz pgoelz (at) eaglequest (dot) com AF010 brushless motor, 8 cell NiMh, collective pitch modification Visit my: Piccolo web page Troubleshooting guide Collective pitch Piccolo page (flybarless) Collective pitch Piccolo page (Ikarus version) Brushless motor conversion |

Im trying to lighten my pic, I redid all the wiring etc..
One mod I did was take apart the deans antenna from one of my nitro planes, the whip and circuit board was broken (it broke when i was coming out of a split S at 120mph and the wing snapped..) Anyways, I made my own whip from the smallest music wire I had, I made it the same length as the original deans, I also took the components off the circuit board and soldered them together and then shrink wrapped it The 15cm or so antenna weighs less than the stock one and it seems to have the same range which is PLENTY for a Piccolo |
